Zero Tolerance

St Luke’s fully support the NHS Zero-Tolerance Policy.

This means any threatening, abusive or violent behaviour against any of our staff or patients will be taken very seriously and will not be tolerated. We understand that everyone can have their bad days and that when you’re feeling unwell, you may be feeling a little more irritable than normal.

However, it is important to remember that all of our staff are here to help you and that our reception staff are following specific procedures put in place to ensure the practice functions efficiently.

Patients acting violently or abusively will be warned to stop their behaviour and if they persist, the surgery may exercise their right to have the individual removed, immediately if necessary, from our patient list.
